Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is an effective surgical method used to modulate neural functions in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. This treatment process, which currently remains manual and static, is evolving into a more dynamic, personalized, and low-error structure through the integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms. Particularly through adaptive DBS (aDBS) systems and biomarker tracking, the goal is to automatically adjust stimulation parameters according to the patient's real-time motor state and to predict surgical risks in advance.
