FloWatch is a telemetrically adjustable, wireless, and battery-free device developed to overcome the challenges of conventional pulmonary artery banding (PAB). By allowing remote adjustment of the band tightness, it eliminates the need for re-operations and significantly reduces intensive care stays and long-term costs. While preserving the elasticity of the pulmonary artery and avoiding the need for reconstruction during future intracardiac repairs, it requires close clinical monitoring for rare risks such as transection and pseudoaneurysm.
