Health, defined by the World Health Organization as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, encompasses mental health as a state of satisfaction where individuals realize their abilities, cope with life's adversities, work productively, and contribute to society. Mental health promotion and illness prevention are closely linked to socio-political interventions such as ensuring peace, social justice, and improving education, employment, and housing conditions. Reducing discrimination against women, supporting self-esteem, combating poverty, and implementing healthy lifestyle changes enhance psychological resilience. Interventions throughout the lifespan highlight family support programs in early childhood, half-day preschool interventions, and school-based cognitive-behavioral therapies alongside peer support. During adulthood, workplace stress management, marital satisfaction, and parent training are effective, whereas promoting physical activity and treating vascular and metabolic risk factors benefit cognitive aging in older adults. Integrating preventive consultations and positive psychotherapy methods into primary care and mental health centers plays a critical role in reducing the burden of disease and helping individuals achieve optimal functioning.
