The extracellular matrix is a vital complex structure in mammalian tissues that supports cells, stores growth factors, and facilitates essential functions like cell differentiation. Composed of glycosaminoglycans and fibrous proteins, this system manages the exchange of nutrients and waste products to maintain homeostasis. Often referred to as the Basic Regulation System, it interacts closely with the autonomous nervous system and lymphatic flow. Accumulation of toxins and sympathetic dysfunction within this environment can disrupt the system, leading to cellular pathology and chronic disease.
