Özet

Ağızda kullanılan restoratif materyaller vücut için tam anlamıyla inert (etkisiz) değildir ve korozyon gibi süreçlerle zamanla biyolojik fonksiyonları olumsuz etkileyebilir. Biyouyumluluk dinamik bir süreç olup, kişinin genel sağlık durumu ve ağız içi şartları, malzemenin vücut üzerindeki toksik veya alerjik etkilerini doğrudan belirler. İmmünolojik, toksik ve elektromanyetik reaksiyonlar, bu materyallerin neden olduğu üç temel patofizyolojik mekanizmadır. Bu nedenle, materyal seçimi kişiye özel yapılmalı ve biyolojik uyum yakından takip edilmelidir.

 

Restorative materials used in dentistry are not truly inert and can negatively impact biological functions over time through processes like corrosion. Biocompatibility is a dynamic process where an individual's health status and oral conditions significantly influence the potential toxic or allergic effects of these materials. Immunological reactions, toxic responses, and electromagnetic effects represent the three primary pathophysiological mechanisms associated with these materials. Consequently, material selection requires a personalized approach to minimize systemic risks and ensure compatibility with the patient's unique biological environment.
