Restoratif Diş Hekimliğinde Renk Seçimi ve Tek Renk Kompozitler

Özet

Restoratif diş hekimliğinde rezin bazlı kompozitlerin doğal dişlerle optik uyumluluğu, estetik başarının ve hasta memnuniyetinin temelini oluşturmaktadır. Diş renginin dar bir skalada yer alması renk seçimini zorlaştırdığından; ışığın yapısı, yansıma, emilim, opasite, translüsensi ve metamerizm gibi optik özelliklerin iyi anlaşılması gerekir. Diş hekimliğinde renk analizi için Munsell ve CIELAB sistemleri kullanılırken; renk tespiti standart skalalarla subjektif olarak ya da spektrofotometre ve kolorimetre gibi cihazlarla objektif olarak gerçekleştirilir. Geleneksel tabakalama tekniği, doğal dişin optik özelliklerini simüle etmek için farklı renk ve opasitelerde kompozitlerin kullanılmasını içerse de yüksek klinik beceri ve uzun zaman gerektirmektedir. Hatalı renk seçimi sorununu ortadan kaldırmak amacıyla, nano teknolojiden yararlanılarak çevre diş dokusuyla renk uyumu sağlayan "bukalemun etkisi"ne sahip tek renk (evrensel) kompozitler geliştirilmiştir. Bu materyaller, pigment içermeyip yapısal renge dayanan akıllı kromatik teknoloji veya uyarlanabilir ışık eşleştirme konseptiyle çalışarak renk seçimi sürecini tamamen ortadan kaldırır, tedavi süresini kısaltır ve klinik verimliliği artırır. Ancak, alttaki koyu renklerin maskelenmesi gereken durumlarda bu yüksek translüsensi klinik zorluklar yaratabilmektedir.

In restorative dentistry, the optical compatibility of resin-based composites with natural teeth forms the basis of aesthetic success and patient satisfaction. Since tooth color is located within a narrow spectrum, making shade selection difficult, it is essential to deeply understand optical properties such as the nature of light, reflection, absorption, opacity, translucency, and metamerism. While Munsell and CIELAB systems are utilized for color analysis in dentistry, shade determination is performed either subjectively using standard shade guides or objectively through devices like spectrophotometers and colorimeters. Although the traditional layering technique involves using composites of different shades and opacities to simulate the optical characteristics of natural teeth, it requires high technical skills and extensive clinical time. To eliminate the issue of incorrect shade selection, single-shade (universal) resin composites featuring a "chameleon effect" have been introduced by leveraging nanotechnology to blend effectively with surrounding tooth structures. Operating on smart chromatic technology based on structural color without pigments or adaptive light matching concepts, these materials completely eliminate the shade selection process, shorten chairside time, and enhance clinical efficiency. However, the high translucency of these materials may create clinical challenges when masking an underlying dark discoloration is required.
