Özet
Kas-iskelet sistemi hastalıklarında erken tanı ve hasta merkezli bir yaklaşım, kalıcı hasarların ve fonksiyon kayıplarının önlenmesinde kritik bir öneme sahiptir. Tanı sürecinin en temel ve belirleyici bileşeni olan anamnez; ağrı, şişlik, tutukluk ve hareket kısıtlılığı gibi yaygın semptomların karakterize edilmesini sağlar. Romatolojik değerlendirmelerde, nosiseptif ve nöropatik olarak ikiye ayrılan ağrının başlama zamanı ve günlük paterni önemli ipuçları sunar. Ayrıca, inflamatuar hastalıklarda uzun süren sabah tutukluğu görülürken, osteoartritte hareketsizlik sonrası kısa süreli tutukluk belirgindir. Ateş, kilo kaybı ve gece terlemesi gibi "kırmızı bayraklar" ise ciddi sistemik bozuklukların habercisi olabilir. Tedavi planlamasında hekimin empati kurması, hastanın beklentilerini yönetmesi ve sosyoekonomik ile mesleki arka planını dikkate alması gerekir. Yönetimin temel amacı, geçerliliği kanıtlanmış anketler ve ölçekler aracılığıyla hastalık aktivitesini izleyerek hastanın yaşam kalitesini artırmak ve eklem fonksiyonlarını korumaktır.
Anamnesis is the most critical component of the evaluation process in musculoskeletal diseases, where early diagnosis and patient-centered care are vital to prevent permanent damage and functional loss. Taking a comprehensive history allows clinicians to characterize common symptoms such as pain, stiffness, swelling, and limitation of movement. Pain, classified into nociceptive and neuropathic types, provides key diagnostic clues through its onset and daily patterns. Inflammatory disorders are typically associated with prolonged morning stiffness, whereas osteoarthritis presents with brief stiffness following inactivity. Furthermore, "red flags" like fever, weight loss, and night sweats may indicate severe systemic conditions. A successful management plan requires the physician to demonstrate empathy, manage expectations, and thoroughly evaluate the patient's socioeconomic and occupational background. Ultimately, the primary goal of treatment is to maintain or restore musculoskeletal functions and enhance quality of life, which can be formally assessed using validated generic and disease-specific patient questionnaires.
