With technological advancements, digital infrastructure and smartphones have profoundly affected individuals' lives, introducing the concept of FoMO (Fear of Missing Out), defined as the anxiety of missing updates and developments on social networks due to the desire to stay connected, into the literature. This anxiety disorder or feeling of unnecessary regret causes individuals to involuntarily and continuously browse the virtual environment, exhibit somatic symptoms, and experience negative psychological and physical consequences such as sleep disorders, depression, and smartphone addiction. In combating FoMO, solutions like adding e-addiction to school curricula, limiting screen time, and cognitive behavioral therapies are recommended. On the other hand, as a reaction to this excessive use of technology and its negative effects, the concept of JoMO (Joy of Missing Out) has emerged, expressing individuals' enjoyment of missing developments by consciously staying away from social networks and focusing on real life, living in the moment, and their own priorities. Individuals adopting the JoMO lifestyle can focus on their relationships without getting caught up in the pace of the virtual world, say no, and enjoy their own time, thereby forming the emotional antidote to FoMO.
