Özet
Akademik yazarlık, bilimsel bulguların makale veya kitap gibi formatlarda sunulması sürecinde entelektüel katkı sağlamayı ve içeriğin sorumluluğunu üstlenmeyi kapsayan çok boyutlu bir faaliyettir. Bilimsel yayınlar, araştırmacılara akademik itibar, terfi ve tanınırlık sağladığı için yazar sıralaması ve etik standartlara uyum hem bireysel kariyer gelişimi hem de bilimsel güvenilirlik açısından kritik bir öneme sahiptir. Uluslararası Tıp Dergisi Editörleri Komitesi (ICMJE) tarafından belirlenen dört temel kriter, gerçek yazarlığın çerçevesini çizerken; hayalet, onursal veya hediye yazarlık gibi uygulamalar akademik etiğe aykırı kabul edilmektedir. Akademik hiyerarşi içinde bu standartların benimsenmesi ve eğitim süreçlerine dahil edilmesi, bilimsel üretimin kalitesini artırırken olası suistimalleri önleyecektir.
Academic authorship is a multidimensional activity involving intellectual contribution and accountability for content during the presentation of scientific findings in formats such as articles or books. Since scientific publications provide researchers with academic reputation, promotion, and recognition, author ordering and compliance with ethical standards are critical for both individual career development and scientific credibility. While four core criteria established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) define genuine authorship, practices like ghost, honorary, or gift authorship are considered contrary to academic ethics. Adopting these standards within the academic hierarchy and integrating them into educational processes will enhance the quality of scientific production and prevent potential misconduct.
