Epİdemİyolojİde Gözlemsel Çalışmaların Meta-Analİzlerİ (MOOSE)
Özet
Meta-analizler, aynı araştırma sorusuna yönelik yapılmış farklı çalışmaların bulgularını istatistiksel yöntemlerle birleştirerek en güçlü bilimsel kanıtı sunan araştırmalardır. Sağlık bilimleri başta olmak üzere pek çok alanda kullanılan bu yöntem, literatürdeki çelişkili sonuçları ortak bir paydada buluşturarak karar vericilere güvenilir rehberlik sağlar. MOOSE rehberi, özellikle gözlemsel çalışmaların meta-analizlerinde şeffaflığı ve kaliteyi artırmak amacıyla geliştirilmiş, altı ana başlık altında 34 maddeden oluşan kapsamlı bir raporlama standardıdır. Bu rehberin kullanımı, literatür taramasından bulguların sunumuna kadar tüm süreçlerin eksiksiz ve tekrarlanabilir şekilde raporlanmasını sağlayarak bilimsel yayınların niteliğini yükseltir.
Meta-analyses are research methods that provide the strongest scientific evidence by combining findings from different studies on the same research question using statistical techniques. Used extensively in health sciences and other fields, this approach offers reliable guidance to decision-makers by synthesizing conflicting results in the literature into a common conclusion. The MOOSE guideline is a comprehensive reporting standard consisting of 34 items under six main headings, specifically developed to enhance transparency and quality in meta-analyses of observational studies. Utilizing this guideline ensures that all processes, from literature search to the presentation of findings, are reported completely and reproducibly, thereby improving the quality of scientific publications.
