Özet
Cerrahi vaka serilerinin raporlama kalitesini ve şeffaflığını artırmak amacıyla geliştirilen PROCESS-2020 kılavuzu, yazarlara sekiz ana maddeden oluşan sistematik bir yol haritası sunmaktadır. Yeni tedavi yöntemleri ve teknolojiler hakkında ilk kanıtları sağlayan bu çalışmaların metodoloji, hasta seçimi ve sonuçlar gibi kritik alanlarda standartlaştırılması bilimsel güvenilirliği pekiştirmektedir. Kılavuzun uygulanması, cerrahi literatürdeki raporlama eksikliklerini gidererek verilerin daha anlaşılır ve karşılaştırılabilir olmasını sağlar. Editörler ve hakemler tarafından desteklenen bu standartlar, cerrahi uzmanlık alanlarındaki vaka sunumlarının akademik değerini optimize etmektedir.
The PROCESS-2020 guideline provides a systematic eight-item roadmap for authors to enhance the reporting quality and transparency of surgical case series. Standardizing critical areas such as methodology, patient selection, and outcomes in these studies, which offer early evidence for new treatments and technologies, strengthens scientific reliability. Implementing the guideline addresses reporting deficiencies in surgical literature, ensuring that data is more intelligible and comparable. Supported by editors and reviewers, these standards optimize the academic value of case presentations across surgical specialties.
