Biyotin (Vitamin B7)
Özet
Biyotin (B7 vitamini), suda çözünen ve vücutta enerji metabolizması ile hücre gelişimi için kritik öneme sahip olan bir B kompleks vitamini üyesidir. Özellikle saç, cilt ve tırnak sağlığı üzerindeki olumlu etkileriyle bilinen bu vitamin, karboksilaz enzimlerine kofaktörlük yaparak yağ asidi sentezi ve glukoneogenez gibi hayati biyokimyasal süreçlerde rol oynar. Eksikliği nadir görülse de, genetik bir bozukluk olan biyotinidaz enzim eksikliği durumunda nörolojik ve dermatolojik sorunlara yol açabildiğinden erken teşhis ve uygun dozda takviye kullanımı büyük önem taşır.
Biotin (Vitamin B7) is a water-soluble member of the B complex family that is essential for energy metabolism and cellular development within the body. Known particularly for its positive effects on hair, skin, and nail health, this vitamin acts as a cofactor for carboxylase enzymes, playing a role in vital biochemical processes such as fatty acid synthesis and gluconeogenesis. Although deficiency is rare, the genetic disorder biotinidase deficiency can lead to neurological and dermatological issues, making early diagnosis and appropriate supplementation crucial.
