K Vitaminin Kemik ve Kardiyovasküler Sistem Üzerine Etkilerinin İncelenmesi
Özet
K vitamini, pıhtılaşma faktörlerinin sentezindeki temel rolünün yanı sıra kemik mineralizasyonu ve kardiyovasküler sağlık üzerinde kritik fonksiyonlara sahiptir. Kemik dokusunda osteoblast aktivitesini artırıp osteoklastları baskılayarak osteoporoz ve kırık riskini azaltırken, damar duvarlarında kalsiyum birikimini önleyerek arteriyel sertleşmeye karşı koruma sağlar. Özellikle K2 vitamini formu, vasküler kalsifikasyonu inhibe eden proteinleri aktive ederek koroner kalp hastalığı riskini düşürmede etkili bir kofaktör olarak öne çıkar.
Vitamin K serves as a vital cofactor for proteins involved in blood coagulation, bone metabolism, and cardiovascular health. It promotes bone formation by enhancing osteoblast activity and reducing bone resorption, which significantly lowers the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. Furthermore, it helps prevent vascular calcification by activating matrix Gla protein, thereby protecting against arterial stiffness and reducing the risk of coronary heart disease.
