Egzersiz Uygulamalarında D Vitamininin Etkileri
Özet
D vitamini, iskelet ve kas dokusu üzerindeki genomik ve non-genomik etkileriyle özellikle hızlı kasılan tip II kas liflerinin fonksiyonunda ve kas proteini sentezinde kritik bir rol oynamaktadır. Sporcularda ve yaşlı bireylerde optimal serum seviyelerinin korunması, egzersizle indüklenen inflamasyonu azaltırken kas kuvvetini, dengeyi ve aerobik kapasiteyi destekleyerek genel fiziksel performansı iyileştirebilmektedir. Araştırmalar, D vitamini takviyesinin özellikle eksiklik durumlarında doku hasarını ve oksidatif stresi azalttığını gösterse de, performans üzerindeki kesin etkileri ve standart dozajlar konusunda literatürde hala çelişkili bulgular mevcuttur.
Vitamin D plays a critical role in the function of fast-twitch type II muscle fibers and muscle protein synthesis through genomic and non-genomic effects on skeletal and muscle tissues. Maintaining optimal serum levels in athletes and elderly individuals can improve overall physical performance by supporting muscle strength, balance, and aerobic capacity while reducing exercise-induced inflammation. Although research indicates that vitamin D supplementation reduces tissue damage and oxidative stress—particularly in cases of deficiency—there are still conflicting findings in the literature regarding its precise effects on performance and standardized dosages.
