Özet

Sekonder lökoensefalopatiler, etiyolojileri farklı olsa da lökodistrofilerle benzer radyolojik bulgular sergileyen geniş bir grup edinilmiş beyaz cevher hastalığını kapsar. Hipoksik-iskemik olaylar, toksik ajanlar, metabolik bozukluklar ve çevresel faktörler sonucu gelişen bu tablolar, hem statik doku hasarlarını hem de akut, geri dönüşümlü olabilen süreçleri içermektedir. Bu hastalıkların tanısında, hastanın klinik öyküsü ile spesifik görüntüleme paternlerinin birlikte değerlendirilmesi, lökodistrofilerden ayırt edilmeleri açısından kritiktir.

 

Secondary leukoencephalopathies encompass a diverse group of acquired white matter disorders that present with radiological findings similar to those of leukodystrophies despite distinct underlying etiologies. This diagnostic category includes both static damage resulting from perinatal hypoxic-ischemic events and acute, often reversible processes triggered by toxic, metabolic, or hemodynamic disruptions. Accurate diagnosis requires the correlation of clinical history with specific neuroimaging patterns to distinguish these acquired conditions from hereditary leukodystrophies, thereby guiding appropriate therapeutic intervention.
