Orthopedic surgery for cerebral palsy focuses on enhancing functional capacity, alleviating pain, and managing deformities rather than curing the underlying condition. Surgical planning must be individualized based on the patient's motor function level, with successful outcomes heavily dependent on timely intervention and comprehensive post-operative rehabilitation. Multi-level surgical procedures are generally preferred in a single session to optimize functional gains and improve long-term quality of life.
