Movement disorders and spasticity are prevalent neurological conditions in pediatric care, often presenting as hyperkinetic disorders like chorea, dystonia, tics, and tremors. Cerebral palsy is a primary cause of spasticity, which significantly impacts physical function and daily activities. Treatment strategies are tailored to the patient's specific symptoms and include pharmacological approaches, physical therapy, and various surgical interventions. Advanced surgical options, such as deep brain stimulation, intrathecal baclofen pumps, ablation surgeries, and selective dorsal rhizotomy, provide critical alternatives when conventional medical therapies prove insufficient.
