Özet

Çocukluk çağı baş ağrıları, doğru tanı ve etkili tedavi için primer ve sekonder nedenlerin dikkatle ayırt edilmesini gerektiren, klinik başvurularda sık karşılaşılan bir durumdur. Tedavi yaklaşımı; yaşam tarzı düzenlemeleri, non-farmakolojik yöntemler ve gerekli durumlarda acil veya koruyucu ilaç uygulamalarını içeren çok yönlü bir stratejiye dayanır. Kırmızı bayrak uyarı semptomlarının taranması ve PedMIDAS gibi skorlama araçlarıyla engellilik düzeyinin belirlenmesi, hastaya özgü en uygun tedavi planının oluşturulmasında kritik rol oynar. İlaç tedavisinin her zaman ilk seçenek olmadığı durumlarda, tamamlayıcı yöntemler ve hasta eğitimi, kronik baş ağrılarının yönetimi ve yaşam kalitesinin artırılması için temel unsurlardır.

 

Childhood headaches are frequently encountered in clinical practice, necessitating a careful distinction between primary and secondary causes to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective management. The therapeutic approach is multifaceted, incorporating lifestyle modifications, non-pharmacological interventions, and, when necessary, acute or preventive medication strategies. Screening for red flag symptoms and assessing disability levels with tools like PedMIDAS are crucial for developing patient-specific care plans. In cases where pharmacological treatment is not immediately required, integrative therapies and patient education serve as fundamental components for managing chronic headaches and improving overall quality of life.
