Özet

Ensefalopati ve koma, beyin fonksiyonlarında ciddi bozulmaların yaşandığı, acil tanı ve tedavi gerektiren yaşamı tehdit eden durumlardır. Tanı sürecinde uyanıklık ve farkındalık kaybı temel alınırken, nörolojik muayene ve görüntüleme yöntemleriyle altta yatan etiyolojik nedenlerin belirlenmesi kritik öneme sahiptir. Tedavi protokolleri, hava yolu ve dolaşımın stabilize edilmesinin yanı sıra artmış intrakraniyal basıncın kontrol altına alınmasını, uygun metabolik desteğin sağlanmasını ve spesifik enfeksiyon ya da toksisite yönetimini kapsar. Prognoz, komaya neden olan etiyolojiye ve müdahale hızına doğrudan bağlı olup, erken dönemdeki klinik ve elektrofizyolojik değerlendirmeler uzun süreli sonuçların öngörülmesinde yol göstericidir.

 

Encephalopathy and coma are life-threatening conditions characterized by significant impairment of brain function, requiring urgent diagnosis and intervention. The diagnostic process relies on the loss of arousal and awareness, with neurological examination and imaging essential to identify underlying etiologies. Treatment protocols focus on stabilizing airway and circulation, managing increased intracranial pressure, providing metabolic support, and addressing specific infections or toxicities. Prognosis depends directly on the cause of the coma and the speed of intervention, with early clinical and electrophysiological assessments guiding long-term outcome predictions.
