Obstetric Brachial Plexus Palsy (OBPP) is a rare but serious upper extremity paralysis typically associated with shoulder dystocia during birth; diagnosis relies on clinical examination, while management involves physical therapy or, in severe cases, surgical intervention. Traumatic peripheral nerve injuries result from kinetic energy causing nerve stretching or compression, and are classified into neuropraxia, axonotmesis, and neurotmesis based on the severity of damage. These injuries require careful evaluation of the specific affected nerve and its pathophysiology, with treatment plans ranging from conservative management to surgical repair depending on the nature of the lesion. Early diagnosis, multidisciplinary follow-up, and timely intervention are essential for optimizing functional recovery and prognosis.
