Pediatric peripheral nerve injuries, typically caused by trauma, fractures, or injections, require a precise clinical assessment based on anatomy and the severity of nerve damage. The classification systems of Seddon and Sunderland guide the determination of treatment pathways, ranging from palliative care to surgical intervention. Diagnostic evaluation relies heavily on physical examination and electrophysiological tests like EMG to identify the specific type of lesion. Surgical management, including primary or secondary repair techniques such as epineural/fascicular suturing or nerve grafting, is essential for achieving optimal functional recovery.
