Özet

Febril nöbetler, genellikle 6 ay ile 5 yaş arasındaki çocuklarda 38°C'den yüksek ateşle seyreden, altta yatan ciddi bir enfeksiyon veya nörolojik bozukluk olmaksızın gelişen en sık nörolojik tablodur. Nöbetler basit, kompleks veya febril status epileptikus olarak sınıflandırılmakta olup, teşhis ve tedavi süreci klinik bulgulara göre bireyselleştirilmelidir. Genellikle iyi huylu bir seyir izleseler de, kompleks nöbet geçiren veya altta yatan risk faktörlerine sahip çocuklarda ileride epilepsi gelişme riski daha yüksektir. Tedavi yaklaşımı akut nöbet yönetimine ve aile eğitimine dayanmakta olup, profilaktik ilaç kullanımı yalnızca belirli risk durumlarında önerilmektedir.

 

Febrile seizures represent the most common neurological condition in children aged 6 months to 5 years, typically occurring with temperatures above 38°C without underlying intracranial pathology. These seizures are classified as simple, complex, or febrile status epilepticus, and their clinical evaluation must be individualized based on the patient's specific presentation. While prognosis is generally favorable, children experiencing complex seizures or those with significant risk factors face a higher susceptibility to developing epilepsy later in life. Management focuses on acute seizure control and parental education, with prophylactic pharmacological treatment reserved only for high-risk cases.
