Çocuklarda Sirkadiyen Ritim Uyku Uyanıklık Bozuklukları
Özet
Çocuklarda sirkadiyen ritim bozuklukları, vücudun biyolojik saatinin çevresel ve sosyal uyku-uyanıklık döngüleri ile uyumsuz hale gelmesiyle ortaya çıkan klinik bir durumdur. Bu bozukluklar; melatonin ve kortizol salınımındaki düzensizlikler sonucu uyku kalitesini düşürerek bilişsel gelişim, akademik başarı ve genel sağlık üzerinde olumsuz etkiler yaratmaktadır. Tanı süreci genellikle uyku günlükleri ve aktigrafi kayıtlarına dayanırken, tedavi yaklaşımları arasında fototerapi, kronoterapi, davranışsal uyku hijyeni düzenlemeleri ve gerektiğinde melatonin kullanımı yer almaktadır. Erken teşhis ve düzenli uyku hijyeni uygulamaları, özellikle ergenlik döneminde artan sosyal uyum sorunları ve obezite gibi ikincil risklerin yönetilmesinde kritik bir rol oynamaktadır.
Circadian rhythm sleep disorders in children emerge when the body's biological clock becomes misaligned with environmental and social sleep-wake cycles. These disorders disrupt the secretion of melatonin and cortisol, leading to poor sleep quality and negatively impacting cognitive development, academic performance, and overall well-being. Diagnosis typically relies on sleep diaries and actigraphy, while treatment strategies include phototherapy, chronotherapy, behavioral sleep hygiene adjustments, and, when necessary, melatonin supplementation. Early diagnosis and consistent sleep hygiene practices play a critical role in managing secondary risks, such as social adaptation challenges and obesity, which are particularly prevalent during adolescence.
