Özet

Uyku ilişkili hareket bozuklukları, çocukların %15-20’sini etkileyen, uyanıklıktan uykuya geçiş veya uyku esnasında görülen basit ve sıklıkla stereotipik hareketlerdir. Ritmik hareket bozuklukları, huzursuz bacak sendromu ve diş gıcırdatma gibi klinik tabloları kapsayan bu durumlar, çocukların günlük işlevlerini ve uyku kalitesini olumsuz yönde etkileyebilir. Tanı genellikle klinik hikaye ve gözleme dayanırken, tedavi süreçleri temel olarak uyku hijyeninin düzenlenmesi ve gerekirse altta yatan eksikliklerin giderilmesine odaklanır. Bu bozuklukların çoğu yaşla birlikte kendiliğinden düzelme eğiliminde olsa da, şiddetli vakalarda uygun tıbbi yaklaşımlar ve aile bilgilendirmesi büyük önem taşır.

 

Sleep-related movement disorders are simple, often stereotypical movements affecting 15-20% of children, occurring during the transition from wakefulness to sleep or throughout the sleep cycle. These conditions, which include rhythmic movement disorder, restless legs syndrome, and sleep bruxism, can negatively impact a child's daily functioning and sleep quality. While diagnosis primarily relies on clinical history and observation, treatment strategies focus on improving sleep hygiene and addressing any underlying deficiencies. Although most of these disorders tend to resolve spontaneously with age, appropriate medical interventions and family guidance are crucial in severe cases.
