Sleep disorders in children are prevalent yet frequently underdiagnosed conditions that can significantly impair developmental, academic, and emotional well-being. Conditions such as insomnia, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, and various parasomnias require early identification to mitigate long-term negative health outcomes. Clinical diagnosis relies on observation and family history, guiding comprehensive treatment plans that integrate behavioral sleep hygiene strategies with pharmacological interventions when necessary. Effectively managing these disorders is essential for improving not only the child's individual health but also their daily functioning, behavioral stability, and overall quality of life.
