Autoimmune encephalitis is a heterogeneous inflammatory brain condition resulting from immune responses against neuronal cell surface or intracellular proteins, rather than direct infectious invasionPatients typically present with a broad spectrum of neuropsychiatric symptoms, including behavioral changes, psychosis, seizures, and cognitive impairmentEarly diagnosis and prompt immunotherapy are critical to improving patient outcomes and preventing long-term neurological damage.
