Pediatric brain tumors are the most frequent solid tumors in childhood, ranking second only to leukemias, with the majority originating from neuroepithelial tissue. More than half of these cases localize in the infratentorial region, with pilocytic astrocytoma and medulloblastoma being the most common histological types. Surgical resection is the primary treatment modality, although survival outcomes depend heavily on the tumor's specific molecular profile and location. Due to significant clinical and genetic differences from adult brain tumors, effective management requires tailored surgical and therapeutic strategies.
