Intramedullary spinal cord tumors are rare central nervous system lesions that require tailored management strategies based on their specific histopathology and the patient's age. Recent advancements in neuroimaging, microsurgical techniques, and intraoperative neuromonitoring have significantly enhanced the outcomes of surgical interventions for these complex conditions. The primary goal of treatment is to achieve maximal tumor removal while preserving neurological function, which often necessitates a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach. Prognosis is fundamentally determined by tumor grade, pathological classification, and the overall success of the surgical resection.
