Özet
Pediatrik beyin tümörleri, çocukluk çağında en sık görülen solid tümörler arasında yer alır ve erişkinlerden farklı histolojik özellikler gösterir. Tanı ve tedavide kontrastlı MR, yüksek çözünürlüğü ve radyasyonsuz olması nedeniyle standart modalite olarak tercih edilir. Tümörlerin yerleşim yerine göre (infratentoryal, supratentoryal, sellar) sınıflandırılması ve radyolojik bulguları, tedavi planlaması ve prognoz açısından kritik veriler sunar. Postoperatif dönemde ise tedavi yanıtı, rezidiv ve komplikasyonların değerlendirilmesi için gelişmiş görüntüleme teknikleri hayati rol oynar.
Pediatric brain tumors are among the most common solid malignancies in childhood, exhibiting distinct histological characteristics compared to those in adults. Contrast-enhanced MRI is the preferred modality for diagnosis and management due to its high resolution and absence of radiation. The classification of tumors by location—such as infratentorial, supratentorial, and sellar regions—along with their specific radiological features, provides essential information for treatment planning and prognostic evaluation. Advanced imaging techniques are also critical for monitoring treatment response, detecting recurrences, and identifying potential post-treatment complications.
