Özet

Çocukluk çağı arteriyel iskemik inmesi, beyin dokusunun ani, fokal infarktı olarak tanımlanmakta olup, genellikle serebral arterlerin tromboembolizm yoluyla tıkanması sonucu gelişmektedir. Pediatrik hastalarda yetişkinlerden farklı patofizyolojik ve klinik özellikler gösteren bu tablo, enfeksiyonlar, kardiyak anomaliler ve vasküler lezyonlar gibi çeşitli risk faktörleriyle ilişkilidir. Erken tanı ve nöroprotektif yaklaşım, beyin hasarını sınırlamak ve fonksiyonel sonuçları iyileştirmek için kritiktir; tedavi stratejileri ise genellikle altta yatan nedene göre belirlenen antitrombotik veya destekleyici yaklaşımları içermektedir.

 

Pediatric arterial ischemic stroke is defined as the sudden focal infarction of brain tissue, typically caused by thromboembolism of cerebral arteries. This condition presents with unique pathophysiology and risk factors in children compared to adults, often involving infections, cardiac anomalies, and vascular lesions. Prompt diagnosis and neuroprotective care are essential to minimize brain damage and improve functional outcomes, with treatment strategies focusing on underlying causes through antithrombotic or supportive measures.
