Özet

Serebral sinovenöz tromboz (CSVT), serebral venöz sistemde meydana gelen tıkanıklıkların yol açtığı, neonatal ve çocukluk döneminde görülebilen ciddi bir hastalıktır. Tanısal süreçte MR ve MRV altın standart kabul edilirken, tedavi stratejileri altta yatan enfeksiyonların kontrolü, destekleyici bakımlar ve antikoagülan kullanımı üzerine yoğunlaşır. Klinik tablo genellikle nonspesifik olduğu için yüksek şüphe düzeyi gerektirir; uygun tedavi uygulanmadığında önemli morbidite ve mortalite riski taşır. Uzun dönem prognoz, hastanın klinik durumu ve parankimal hasar varlığı ile yakından ilişkilidir.

 

Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is a serious condition characterized by occlusion in the cerebral venous system, affecting both neonates and children. While MRI and MRV are considered the gold standard for diagnosis, treatment strategies focus on controlling underlying infections, providing supportive care, and administering anticoagulants. Due to the nonspecific nature of the clinical presentation, a high index of suspicion is required, as the condition carries significant risks of morbidity and mortality if left untreated. Long-term prognosis is closely related to the patient's clinical status and the presence of parenchymal damage.
