Cerebral arteriovenous malformations are abnormal clusters of vessels that create direct connections between arteries and veins without an intervening capillary network. These structures, which typically present with intracranial hemorrhage and seizures, are diagnosed primarily through brain imaging techniques. Treatment strategies involve the application of microsurgery, embolization, or radiosurgery, either alone or in combination, depending on the lesion's size and location. These vascular lesions result from developmental abnormalities and predominantly manifest in young adults.
