Özet

Erişkinlerden farklı olarak daha kompleks yapıda olup sıklıkla posterior sirkülasyona yerleşirler ve travmatik veya enfektif kökenli olabilirlerTanı ve takip süreçlerinde multidisipliner bir yaklaşım şarttır, zira çocuklarda yaşam beklentisi göz önüne alındığında uzun vadeli izlem ve seri görüntüleme hayati öneme sahiptirGüncel klinik yaklaşımlar, özellikle cerrahiden ziyade endovasküler tedavi yöntemlerine odaklanmaktadır.

 

Pediatric intracranial aneurysms are rare vascular anomalies accounting for 1-5% of all cases, often associated with underlying systemic or genetic conditions rather than the acquired risk factors commonly seen in adultsThese aneurysms are typically more complex, frequently localized in the posterior circulation, and require a multidisciplinary approach for diagnosis and managementGiven the long life expectancy of pediatric patients, treatment strategies prioritize high obliteration rates with minimal morbidity, increasingly favoring endovascular techniques over surgical optionsCareful, long-term follow-up through serial imaging is critical to monitor for recurrence or the development of new aneurysms.
