Özet
Pediatrik inme, çocukluk çağında ciddi morbidite ve mortaliteye neden olan, etyolojisi karmaşık ve tanısı zor bir nörovasküler durumdur. Perinatal dönemde en sık görülen inme tipi iskemik olup, vakalar yaşa ve nedene göre perinatal ve çocukluk çağı inmesi olarak iki ana kategoride sınıflandırılır. Tedavi protokollerinde nöroproteksiyon, antitrombotik ajanlar ve endovasküler girişimler kritik rol oynasa da, çocuklara özel randomize kontrollü çalışma eksikliği klinisyenler için önemli bir zorluk teşkil etmektedir. Erken tanı ve hızlı müdahale, hayatta kalan çocuklarda uzun dönemde oluşabilecek nörolojik sekelleri azaltmak adına hayati önem taşımaktadır.
Pediatric stroke is a complex neurovascular condition in childhood associated with significant morbidity and mortality, often complicated by diagnostic delays due to atypical clinical presentations. It is classified primarily into perinatal and childhood stroke, with ischemic events being the most prevalent, particularly during the perinatal period. Treatment strategies, including neuroprotection, antithrombotic therapy, and endovascular interventions, are critical; however, clinical management is hindered by a scarcity of pediatric-specific randomized controlled trials compared to established adult standards. Timely identification and rapid, specialized intervention are essential to minimize long-term neurological disability and improve patient outcomes.
