Özet

Çocukluk çağı serebrovasküler hastalıkları; arteryal iskemik, venöz tromboz ve hemorajik inme olarak sınıflandırılan, nadir görülmesine rağmen uzun süreli motor, bilişsel ve sosyal bozukluklara yol açabilen ciddi klinik tablolardır. İnme sonrası çocuklarda %50-80 oranında motor defisitlerin yanı sıra epilepsi, kognitif gerileme, yutma güçlüğü ve konuşma bozuklukları gibi geniş bir fonksiyonel kayıp spektrumu ortaya çıkmaktadır. Rehabilitasyon süreci, çocuğun nöroplastisite potansiyelini maksimize etmek amacıyla multidisipliner bir yaklaşımla erken dönemde başlamalı; fizik tedavi, iş-uğraşı terapisi ve aile katılımını içeren kişiselleştirilmiş programları kapsamalıdır. Güncel tedavi yöntemleri arasında konvansiyonel egzersizlerin yanı sıra zorunlu kullanım terapisi, sanal gerçeklik uygulamaları ve robotik rehabilitasyon gibi motor öğrenmeyi destekleyen modern yaklaşımlar büyük önem taşımaktadır.

 
Although relatively rare, pediatric cerebrovascular diseases—categorized into arterial ischemic, venous thrombosis, and hemorrhagic strokes—cause significant long-term motor, cognitive, and social impairments in children. Survivors frequently face a broad spectrum of complications, including motor deficits in up to 80% of cases, along with epilepsy, cognitive dysfunction, dysphagia, and speech impediments. Effective rehabilitation requires an early-start, multidisciplinary approach that involves physical therapy, occupational therapy, and active family participation to optimize the child's functional independence. Treatment strategies utilize both conventional exercises and innovative techniques, such as constraint-induced movement therapy, virtual reality, and robotic assistance, to enhance neuroplasticity and recovery.
