Akut flask miyelit, omurilik gri cevherinde lezyonlarla seyreden, asimetrik gevşek felçle karakterize poliomiyelit benzeri nöroinflamatuar bir hastalıktırGenellikle enterovirüs D68 gibi virüslerle ilişkili olup, çoğunlukla 12 yaş altı çocukları etkileyen mevsimsel bir tablodurKesin bir tedavisi olmamakla birlikte, hastalığın yönetiminde erken dönem fizik tedavi ve destekleyici bakımlar ön plana çıkmaktadır.

 

Acute flaccid myelitis is a polio-like neuroinflammatory condition characterized by acute asymmetric flaccid paralysis and spinal gray matter lesionsIt is often associated with non-polio enteroviruses, particularly EV-D68, and primarily affects children under 12 years of age with seasonal incidenceWhile no definitive cure exists, management relies heavily on early physical therapy and supportive care to address neurological sequelae.
