Facial paralysis in children is a serious clinical condition that significantly impacts quality of life, presenting both functional and aesthetic challengesThis condition, which can be classified as central or peripheral, stems from a wide range of congenital, idiopathic, infectious, and traumatic etiologies. Diagnosis relies on clinical assessment, alongside audiological and electrophysiological tests, to accurately determine the level of the lesion and prognosis. Treatment strategies are tailored to the underlying cause, encompassing a multidisciplinary approach that includes pharmacological therapy, surgical interventions, and essential eye protection.
