Özet

Siyalore, 3-4 yaşından büyük çocuklarda nörolojik nedenlere bağlı olarak görülen istemsiz tükürük kaybıdır ve sosyal, ciltsel veya solunumla ilgili ciddi komplikasyonlara yol açabilir. Bu durumun yönetiminde temel olarak davranış terapisi, antikolinerjik ajanlar içeren farmakolojik tedaviler, botulinum toksin enjeksiyonları ve cerrahi müdahaleler gibi farklı yaklaşımlar kullanılmaktadır. Uygulanan tedavilerin başarısı hastadan hastaya değişmekle birlikte, tek bir kesin çözüm yöntemi bulunmamaktadır. Tedavi seçimi, çocuğun nörolojik durumuna ve salya akmasının şiddetine göre planlanmalıdır.

 

Sialorrhea is the involuntary loss of saliva in children older than 3-4 years, often stemming from neurological disorders, which can lead to significant social, dermatological, and respiratory complications. Management strategies include behavioral therapy, pharmacological interventions with anticholinergic agents, botulinum toxin injections, and surgical procedures. While these treatments are widely used, their success varies significantly from patient to patient, and no universal definitive cure currently exists. Treatment plans must be tailored based on the child's specific neurological condition and the severity of the drooling.
