Kidney diseases can be accompanied by various neurological issues, including uremic encephalopathy, acute hypertension, hemolytic uremic syndrome, and post-transplant complications. Untreated renal failure can lead to severe conditions affecting the central nervous system, ranging from encephalopathy and seizures to peripheral neuropathies. Genetic factors may also simultaneously affect both the kidneys and the nervous system, leading to distinct clinical presentations. Early diagnosis and appropriate renal replacement or pharmacological therapies are critical for managing and preventing these neurological complications.
