Fluid and electrolyte imbalances can rapidly affect the complex mechanisms of the central nervous system, leading to various neurological symptoms. Acute changes in sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium levels can result in serious clinical conditions such as confusion, seizures, muscle weakness, and encephalopathy. Maintaining these balance mechanisms is critical for preserving neurological health and ensuring the continuity of vital functions. Early diagnosis and appropriate management of electrolyte irregularities play a key role in preventing permanent neurological damage.
