Sinir Sistemi
This text comprehensively covers the macroscopic and internal anatomy of the central nervous system. First, the dura mater, arachnoid mater, and pia mater membranes that protect and support the brain, their extensions, vessels, nerves, and the spinal cord membranes are explained. Subsequently, the secretion of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the choroid plexuses, its circulation through the ventricular system, its passage into the subarachnoid space, and its absorption into the venous sinuses via arachnoid granulations, along with the blood-brain barrier mechanism, are examined. Under the telencephalon section, the lobes, sulci, gyri, insula, white matter fibers, and basal nuclei of the cerebral hemispheres are detailed. Following the regions of the diencephalon—epithalamus, thalamus, subthalamus, and hypothalamus—the brainstem (comprising the mesencephalon, pons, and medulla oblongata) and the structure, divisions, and nuclei of the cerebellum are discussed. Finally, the structure of the spinal cord, the 31 pairs of spinal nerve roots, and the organization of gray and white matter are analyzed, including descending motor pathways like the corticospinal tract for voluntary movements, ascending sensory pathways like the spinothalamic tract, and the cranial nerve nuclei.
