Kalbin beslenmesini sağ koroner arter (a. coronaria dextra) ve sol koroner arter (a. coronaria sinistra) üstlenirken, venöz drenajı büyük oranda sinus coronarius gerçekleştirir.

The circulatory system is a vital structure that delivers nutrients, oxygen, and hormones to cells for the survival of the organism and transports metabolic waste to excretory organs. This system consists of the cardiovascular system, which includes the heart and blood vessels, and the lymphatic system, comprising lymph vessels and nodes. Located at the center within the thoracic cavity, the heart is a four-chambered fibromuscular organ with two atria and two ventricles. Structured from the outside in with the pericardium, myocardium, and endocardium, the heart functions involuntarily via the autonomic nervous system and its specialized conduction system, including the SA and AV nodes. While the heart is nourished by the right coronary artery and left coronary artery, its venous drainage is mostly performed by the sinus coronarius. Blood circulation is divided into systemic circulation, which distributes oxygenated blood to the body via the aorta and collects venous blood in the right atrium, and pulmonary circulation, which carries venous blood to the lungs via the pulmonary trunk. In the womb, fetal circulation operates differently as the placenta handles respiration using special shunts like the ductus venosus, foramen ovale, and ductus arteriosus. Pericarditis, myocardial infarction, and fibrillations represent key clinical disorders of this system.
