Özet
Çocuklarda çarpıntı, genellikle iyi huylu nedenlere dayanan ve kalp atışlarının rahatsız edici şekilde hissedilmesiyle karakterize edilen yaygın bir şikayettir. Tanı sürecinde ayrıntılı anamnez, fizik muayene ve özellikle semptom anında çekilen 12 derivasyonlu EKG, hayati tehlike arz eden aritmilerin belirlenmesinde temel rol oynar. Tedavi yaklaşımı ise altta yatan nedene göre şekillenmekte olup; hastaların büyük çoğunluğunda yaşam tarzı değişiklikleri ve ailenin bilgilendirilmesi yeterli olurken, riskli bulguları olan hastaların pediatrik kardiyoloğa yönlendirilmesi kritik önem taşır.
Palpitations in children are often benign and frequently result from physiological responses to non-cardiac factors like fever, exercise, or anxiety. A comprehensive evaluation starting with a detailed medical history, physical examination, and a 12-lead ECG is essential for distinguishing these benign cases from serious underlying arrhythmias. While most instances are harmless, the presence of symptoms like syncope or structural heart disease necessitates prompt referral to a pediatric cardiologist for further investigation and specialized management.
