Enuresis in childhood is defined as intermittent urinary incontinence in children aged five and older, occurring during the day or at nightThe condition arises from multifactorial causes, such as insufficient functional bladder capacity, inability to wake from sleep, or underlying issues like constipation and psychosocial stressorsDiagnosis relies on a detailed clinical history, physical examination, and urinalysis, while treatment strategies include motivational therapy, bedwetting alarms, and pharmacological options like desmopressin when necessary.
