Özet
Çocukluk çağında enürezis (idrar kaçırma), beş yaş ve üzerindeki çocuklarda görülen, uykuda veya uyanıkken ortaya çıkabilen aralıklı bir idrar kaçırma durumudur. Bu durum, mesane kapasitesinin yetersizliği, uykudan uyanma güçlüğü veya altta yatan kabızlık ve psikososyal stresörler gibi çok faktörlü nedenlerden kaynaklanabilmektedir. Tanı sürecinde detaylı anamnez, fizik muayene ve idrar tahlili temel alınırken; tedavi yaklaşımı motivasyonel terapiler, yatak alarmları ve gerekli durumlarda desmopressin gibi farmakolojik seçenekleri içermektedir.
Enuresis in childhood is defined as intermittent urinary incontinence in children aged five and older, occurring during the day or at night. The condition arises from multifactorial causes, such as insufficient functional bladder capacity, inability to wake from sleep, or underlying issues like constipation and psychosocial stressors. Diagnosis relies on a detailed clinical history, physical examination, and urinalysis, while treatment strategies include motivational therapy, bedwetting alarms, and pharmacological options like desmopressin when necessary.
