Özet
Dispne (nefes darlığı), Yunanca kökenli bir terim olup kişinin solunum etkinliğinin farkında olmasıyla karakterize subjektif ve rahatsızlık verici bir semptomdur. Bu durum; akciğer ve kalp hastalıkları başta olmak üzere nörolojik, psikolojik veya metabolik birçok farklı nedene bağlı olarak, karmaşık fizyolojik mekanizmalar aracılığıyla gelişebilir. Tanı sürecinde detaylı bir anamnez ve fizik muayene kritik rol oynarken, tedavi yaklaşımı altta yatan temel nedenin saptanması ve palyatif destekleyici bakımlarla yaşam kalitesinin artırılmasını hedefler.
Dyspnea is a subjective and distressing symptom originating from the Greek language, characterized by an individual's awareness of their breathing effort. It can arise from various pulmonary, cardiac, neurological, psychological, or metabolic causes through complex physiological mechanisms. While a detailed medical history and physical examination are critical for diagnosis, the treatment approach focuses on identifying the underlying cause and providing palliative care to improve the patient's quality of life.
