Urinary incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine that increases with age and is more prevalent in women than in men. The condition is classified into various types such as stress, urge, overflow, and mixed, with risk factors including age, obesity, genetics, and certain medications. Diagnosis involves detailed history, physical examination, and clinical tests like the bladder stress test, while initial treatment focuses on conservative methods such as lifestyle changes, pelvic floor exercises, and pharmacological interventions.
