Özet
Kilo alımı, vücut ağırlığının yaş, boy ve cinsiyete göre olması gereken değerlerin üzerine çıkması olarak tanımlanmakta ve teşhisinde Beden Kitle İndeksi (BKİ) ile bel çevresi ölçümleri temel alınmaktadır. Bu durumun etiyolojisinde yanlış beslenme ve hareketsiz yaşam tarzı gibi faktörlerin yanı sıra hipotiroidi, Cushing sendromu, insülin direnci ve kullanılan çeşitli ilaçlar gibi tıbbi nedenler de önemli rol oynamaktadır. Birinci basamak sağlık hizmetlerinde tanı süreci, hastanın klinik bulguları ve laboratuvar tetkikleriyle desteklenirken, tedavi stratejileri bireyselleştirilmiş diyet, fiziksel aktivite artışı ve gerektiğinde uzman kliniklere sevki içermektedir.
Weight gain is defined as body weight exceeding the expected values based on age, height, and gender, with diagnosis primarily relying on Body Mass Index (BMI) and waist circumference measurements. Its etiology involves lifestyle factors such as poor nutrition and physical inactivity, alongside medical conditions like hypothyroidism, Cushing's syndrome, insulin resistance, and the effects of specific medications. In primary care, the diagnostic process is supported by clinical findings and laboratory tests, while treatment strategies focus on individualized diet, increased physical activity, and referral to specialized clinics when necessary.
