Özet
Akne vulgaris, kıl folikülleri ve yağ bezlerinin tıkanmasıyla oluşan, dünya nüfusunun yaklaşık %9,4'ünü etkileyen multifaktöryel bir deri hastalığıdır. Hastalığın gelişiminde foliküler hiperkeratinizasyon, artmış sebum üretimi, Cutibacterium acnes kolonizasyonu ve enflamasyon olmak üzere dört ana patofizyolojik mekanizma rol oynar. Tanısı klinik bulgularla konulan bu durum; genetik yatkınlık, hormonal değişimler, diyet ve stres gibi çeşitli faktörlerden etkilenmekte olup tedavisi kişinin lezyon tipine ve şiddetine göre topikal veya sistemik ajanlarla bireyselleştirilerek planlanır.
Acne vulgaris is a multifactorial skin disease caused by the obstruction of pilosebaceous units, affecting approximately 9.4% of the global population. Four primary pathophysiological mechanisms drive its development: follicular hyperkeratinization, increased sebum production, Cutibacterium acnes colonization, and inflammation. Diagnosed through clinical findings, the condition is influenced by genetics, hormonal changes, diet, and stress, requiring individualized treatment plans with topical or systemic agents based on lesion type and severity.
