Torakal Disk Hernisi
Özet
Şiddetli sırt ağrısı ve bacaklarda uyuşma şikayetiyle başvuran 46 yaşındaki kadın hastada, T11-T12 seviyesinde geniş tabanlı ve kalsifiye torakal disk hernisi saptanmıştır. Tedavi için minimal invaziv bir yöntem olan video yardımlı torakoskopik cerrahi (VATS) uygulanarak kalsifiye disk başarılı bir şekilde çıkartılmış ve omurilik üzerindeki bası kaldırılmıştır. Ameliyat sonrası dönemde hastanın ağrıları ve duyusal şikayetleri tamamen geçerken, motor gücü tam iyileşme ile normale dönmüştür. Bu vaka, geleneksel torakotomiye göre daha az kan kaybı ve daha hızlı iyileşme sunan torakoskopik yaklaşımın etkinliğini göstermektedir.
A 46-year-old female patient presenting with severe back pain and leg numbness was diagnosed with a broad-based and calcified thoracic disc herniation at the T11-T12 level. A video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), a minimally invasive technique, was performed to remove the calcified disc and decompress the spinal cord. Postoperatively, the patient's pain and sensory complaints were completely resolved, and full motor strength was achieved. This case highlights the effectiveness of the thoracoscopic approach, which offers less blood loss and faster recovery compared to traditional thoracotomy.
