Lojistik Regresyon
Logistic regression analysis is a widely used and popular model, particularly in health sciences, to determine independent risk factors and estimate probabilities when the dependent variable is categorical (binary, ordinal, or multinomial). As a non-parametric model, it does not strictly require classical assumptions such as normality or variance homogeneity; however, it necessitates the absence of multicollinearity and strong outliers. Statistical evaluation of the model and its coefficients relies on criteria like the Wald statistic, the Hosmer-Lemeshow test for goodness-of-fit, and Pseudo $R^2$ measures for explanatory power, while risk assessment is primarily interpreted through the "Odds Ratio". These models, which can be constructed using automated computer-driven or researcher-controlled manual procedures, critically require a sufficient sample size, traditionally recommended as at least 10 events per independent variable, to ensure the reliability of coefficient estimations.
